(1) Moslem insurgents threaten Chinese engineers - disproves Huntington thesis

From: patrick <patrickh@ymail.plala.or.jp> Date:  16.07.2009 01:29 AM

> Islamic parties' championing of the Uighurs of Xinjiang could make them
> "meat in the sandwich" between China and the Islamic bloc.

> This development puts to rest Samuel Huntington's envisaged alliance betwen
> China and Islam in his book The Clash of Civilizations.

Samuel Huntington was an opportunist and academic whore for American imperial and militarist interests. He tailored all the details of his thesis to fit in with Jewish and Pentagon interests, e.g. he stated that Judaism was part of the West but huge parts of Christianity (the whole Orthodox World) were not.

Relations between China and Iran are very good and will probably get better. Furthermore, the Jewish Mossad and the "Made in the USA" al-CIA-duh better be very careful about stirring up trouble and hiding behind false flags because an angry Chinese press might not be so compliant in covering things up as the Western press has been in not analyzing 9/11, the JFK murder, etc.

If you read the first line of the Halevi article you will see that it states, "The multiple, simultaneous explosions that took place yesterday on the London transportation system".

What this means is that since the article was printed on the 7th July 2005, the same day as the actual bombings took place, then this article had to have been written prior to the event.

You then read the article again and you will find various points that were not known on the actual day of the bombing, such as that the train bombs were simultaneous.

So just how would you come to terms with this article?  What does it tell you?

'Deal could bring international support for strike on Iran'

World may back Iran op as part of deal

A deal taking shape between Israel and Western leaders will facilitate international support for an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities in exchange for concessions in peace negotiations with the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, The Times reported Thursday.

According to one British official quoted by the paper, such an understanding could allow an Israeli attack "within the year."

The report in the UK paper quoted unnamed diplomats as saying Israel was prepared to offer concessions on the formation of a Palestinian state as well as on its settlement policy and "issues" with Arab neighbors, in exchange for international backing for an Israeli operation in Iran.

"Israel has chosen to place the Iranian threat over its settlements," one senior European diplomat said.

According to the Times report, the passage of two Sa'ar 5-class Israeli Navy ships through the Suez Canal on Tuesday was a message to Iran and part of preparations being made by Israel for the possibility of a strike.

"This is preparation that should be taken seriously. Israel is investing time in preparing itself for the complexity of an attack on Iran. These maneuvers are a message to Iran that Israel will follow up on its threats," an unnamed Israeli defense official was quoted by the paper as saying.

"It is not by chance that Israel is drilling long-range maneuvers in a public way. This is not a secret operation. This is something that has been published and which will showcase Israel's abilities," another defense official said.

The passage of the ships comes several weeks after a Dolphin-class submarine passed through the international waterway for the first time.

One of the ships, the INS Hanit, already crossed the canal in June, in what an Egyptian source said was the first time a large missile ship used the strategic waterway, which is the fastest route to get Israeli Navy vessels from the Mediterranean, where they are based, to the Red Sea and beyond.

The other ship to cross on Tuesday was the INS Eilat.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said that under a long-standing treaty, warships can freely sail through Suez as long as they have no hostile intentions against the state that owns the canal. He declined to say whether the maneuver was aimed at sending a message, saying, "I don't want to analyze an issue that I am not fully aware of."

In the event of a conflict with Iran, and if Israel decided to involve its three Dolphin-class submarines - which according to foreign reports can fire nuclear-tipped cruise missiles and serve as a second-strike platform - the quickest route would be to sail them through the Suez Canal. Going through the canal would also be the only way to get to the Gulf of Oman without refueling.

Israel to Test Arrow 2 Missile Defense in U.S.

Thursday, July 16, 2009  http://gsn.nti.org/gsn/nw_20090716_8438.php

Israel plans in coming days to launch an Arrow 2 missile interceptor off the California coast, the Jerusalem Post reported yesterday

The exercise would be the first Arrow 2 test to target a mock enemy missile capable of traveling 625 miles. This would be the third time the United States has hosted an Arrow exercise, as the geography around Israel is less amenable to long-range missile intercept tests.

Israel is "limited to the range of the missile they can test in the eastern Mediterranean. There's a safety issue. That's the primary purpose of them coming to the United States to use our test range," said U.S. Missile Defense Agency chief Lt. Gen. Patrick O'Reilly, according to Reuters.

The test would also provide the United States "the opportunity to have the Patriot system, the [Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense] system and the Aegis system all interacting with the Arrow system, so that we're demonstrating full interoperability as we execute this test," O'Reilly added.

The Israeli air force as of April had conducted 17 tests of the improved Arrow 2 system, which Jerusalem says could take down an Iranian missile tipped with a nuclear warhead. Iran says its nuclear activities have no military component (see related GSN story, today).

Washington is also financing creation of the Israeli Arrow 3 system, which is intended to send interceptors higher than its predecessor and to destroy missiles fired from greater distances, the Post reported (Jerusalem Post, July 15).

(5) Israeli Navy in Suez Canal Prepares for Potential Attack on Iran

By Sheera Frenkel in Jerusalem

July 16, 2009 "The Times"

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6715412.ece

Two Israeli missile class warships have sailed through the Suez Canal ten days after a submarine capable of launching a nuclear missile strike, in preparation for a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

The deployment into the Red Sea, confirmed by Israeli officials, was a clear signal that Israel was able to put its strike force within range of Iran at short notice. It came before long-range exercises by the Israeli air force in America later this month and the test of a missile defence shield at a US missile range in the Pacific Ocean.

Israel has strengthened ties with Arab nations who also fear a nuclear-armed Iran. In particular, relations with Egypt have grown increasingly strong this year over the "shared mutual distrust of Iran", according to one Israeli diplomat. Israeli naval vessels would likely pass through the Suez Canal for an Iranian strike.

"This is preparation that should be taken seriously. Israel is investing time in preparing itself for the complexity of an attack on Iran. These manoeuvres are a message to Iran that Israel will follow up on its threats," an Israeli defence official said.

It is believed that Israel's missile-equipped submarines, and its fleet of advanced aircraft, could be used to strike at in excess of a dozen nuclear-related targets more than 800 miles from Israel.

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, said that his Government explicitly allowed passage of Israeli vessels, and an Israeli admiral said that the drills were "run regularly with the full co-operation of the Egyptians."

Two Israeli Saar class missile boats and a Dolphin class submarine have passed through Suez. Israel has six Dolphin-class submarines, three of which are widely believed to carry nuclear missiles.

Israel will also soon test an Arrow interceptor missile on a US missile range in the Pacific Ocean. The system is designed to defend Israel from ballistic missile attacks by Iran and Syria. Lieutenant-General Patrick O'Reilly, the director of the Pentagon's Missile Defence Agency, said that Israel would test against a target with a range of more than 630 miles (1,000km) — too long for previous Arrow test sites in the eastern Mediterranean.

The Israeli air force, meanwhile, will send F16C fighter jets to participate in exercises at Nellis Air Force base in Nevada this month. Israeli C130 Hercules transport aircraft will also compete in the Rodeo 2009 competition at McChord Air Force base in Washington.

"It is not by chance that Israel is drilling long-range manoeuvres in a public way. This is not a secret operation. This is something that has been published and which will showcase Israel's abilities," said an Israeli defence official.

He added that in the past, Israel had run a number of covert long-range drills. A year ago, Israeli jets flew over Greece in one such drill, while in May, reports surfaced that Israeli air force aircraft were staging exercises over Gibraltar. An Israeli attack on a weapons convoy in Sudan bound for militants in the Gaza Strip earlier this year was also seen as a rehearsal for hitting moving convoys.

The exercises come at a time when Western diplomats are offering support for an Israeli strike on Iran in return for Israeli concessions on the formation of a Palestinian state.

If agreed it would make an Israeli strike on Iran realistic "within the year" said one British official.

Diplomats said that Israel had offered concessions on settlement policy, Palestinian land claims and issues with neighboring Arab states, to facilitate a possible strike on Iran.

"Israel has chosen to place the Iranian threat over its settlements," said a senior European diplomat.

British Jews Serving in Israeli Defence Forces

By Dr Shahid Qureshi

The London Post

http://www.palestinianmothers.com/profiles/blogs/british-jews-serving-in

It is reported that (IDF) Israeli Defense Forces soldiers from Europeans, US and other nationalities might be returning back to their countries after taking part in the Gaza War and might have committed war crimes. It is responsibility of the countries to make sure to prosecute their citizens who were involved in war crimes under international law and conventions.

"As Israel's anti-terror operation entered its twelfth day yesterday, a British IDF soldier who was injured by gunfire in Gaza spoke exclusively to the Jewish News from his hospital bed about his efforts to avoid civilian casualties while the bloody battles are being fought. Avi Cohen was shot by a Hamas terrorist early on Monday morning, two days after he led his paratrooper unit of 20 soldiers into battle. The 23-year-old - whose grandfather was the late Rabbi Cyril Shine of the Central Synagogue, Great Portland Street (London) - said he had been in fierce gun fights with Hamas throughout the days he was in the Gaza Strip, and at all times did his best to make sure it was the terrorists and not local people who got hurt. "But unfortunately it's a war and there are casualties on both sides. It is very hard; we didn't come here for that," Cohen said reported `Jewish News' 8th January 2009. Earlier a British born Major of the IDF was killed in Lebanon war with Hezbollah in 2006.

It is illegal under the Foreign Enlistment Act 1870 (c.90) for a British Citizen to serve in the armed forces of another country

British Member of House of Lords, Lord Ahmed asked a question in the upper house of the parliament on 26th January 2009,"Whether any British citizens are serving in the Israeli Defence Force or the Israeli Defence Reserves"?

In response to that Lord Malloch–Brown, Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office responded, "other than press reports, the UK Government do not possess information about whom the Israeli Government have called up to serve in the Israel Defence Forces or the Israeli Defence Reserves, including any dual nationals. Only the Israeli Government would have this information. He further stated, "Anybody who has broken the fourth protocol of the Geneva Convention deserves to meet justice in some court or another".

"At purpose-built barracks in the Negev desert, every summer hundreds of Jewish teenagers from Europe, Mexico and America pay to spend nine weeks saluting, marching, firing guns and otherwise pretending to be soldiers. Marva, run by the Educational and Youth Corps of the Israel Defence Force and conducted entirely in Hebrew, simulates the basic training of Israeli conscripts for 18-28 year old members of the Diaspora. Dressed in boots and olive fatigues, and obliged to carry an M16 assault rifle at all times, school leavers on gap years do push ups in the dust, perform night marches with laden stretchers, maintain civil defence shelters, fire machine guns at paper figures and simulate military manoeuvres, as well as taking classes in Jewish identity and the history and values of the IDF. Karaoke and dance-offs also feature. With the security situation improving, increasing numbers of British Jews, through youth groups such as RSY Netzer and Federation of Zionist Youth, are signing up to one of the four 120-strong sessions held every year. One half are girls, and large numbers come from public schools in Manchester and North London", wrote Mathew Holehouse in New Statesman titled "The British children who train to fight in Israel ", published 3rd September 2007 <http://www.newstatesman.com/world-affairs/2007/09/middle-east-israel-british-idf>.

On Sunday 19th August 2007, in heaven and earth morning Show BBC followed the journey of a young British Jewish couple to Israel and Occupied Jerusalem. The young orthodox Jewish couple with a young daughter moved out of Britain because they said we faced discrimination and anti-Semitism in the British society. They were granted Israeli citizenship upon arrival as part of Jewish right of return and a nice flat with windows over looking `Al-Aqsa Mosque' and veiling wall. Some of these immigrants will join Israeli Defence Forces.

More than 14,000 American Jews from across the religious spectrum serving in the Jewish state's military. According to Israeli government statistics, 4,419 are on active duty and 9,831 are in the reserves. There is no exact figure available of British Citizens serving in the Israeli Defence Forces but they are in thousands because over 30000 British Jews have moved to Israel .

Some of them must be killing and shooting Palestinians in Occupied Territories ? Are they terrorist authorised and trained by a state? A London based Jewish paper published photo on front page of a Jewish British citizen Major of Israeli Armed Forces who was killed in action fighting against Hizbullah last year in Lebanon . How bizarre is that?

What if British or US citizen Pakistanis of Kashmiri origin go and fight against occupying Indian forces in Jamu and Kashmir ? What if British or US citizen Palestinians and Arabs go and fight with Israeli occupying forces? Would they be called terrorist? Would they become terrorist or freedom fighters participating in a legitimate freedom struggle recognised by the United Nation?

Only Jews from US, Britain , Canada and around the world have this privilege of joining Israeli Armed Forces, bombing, shooting and killing innocent Palestinians in Occupied Territories and returning back to their countries with clean slate, or voting by post in the US elections? There is no shortage of ex-mossad agent/trained bodyguards to hire if you are rich in London .

It is illegal under the Foreign Enlistment Act 1870 (c.90) for a British Citizen to serve in the armed forces of another country because:

"If any person, without the license of Her Majesty, being a British subject, within or without Her Majesty's dominions, accepts or agrees to accept any commission or engagement in the military or naval service of any foreign state at war with any foreign state at peace with Her Majesty, and in this Act referred to as a friendly state, or whether a British subject or not within Her Majesty's dominions, induces any other person to accept or agree to accept any commission or engagement in the military or naval service of any such foreign state as aforesaid,— He shall be guilty of an offence against this Act, and shall be punishable by fine and imprisonment, or either of such punishments, at the discretion of the court before which the offender is convicted; ..."

(Annotations: Amendments (Textual) Words omitted by virtue of (E.W.) Criminal Justice Act 1948 (c. 58), s. 1(2) and (S.) Criminal Procedure ( Scotland ) Act 1975 (c. 21), s. 221(2)) ...

Should US citizens living in Israel vote in American elections? A simple survey conducted by a recent Israeli immigrant resulted in 79 participants. The results revealed that 73% think that Americans living in Israel should still vote, while 26% said NO, and 1% said it depends. According to the results, there seems to be a misunderstanding about voting rights of Americans.

A former British commander of UN forces Col Bob Stewart said in a TV debate something like, `those in the Israeli Army who deliberately fired (bombed), (Phosphorus) at civilians might have committed war crimes and if they did son they are not soldiers but terrorists

The US Viva Palestina convoy today crossed into the Gaza Strip. This is a victory for the people of Gaza. We were determined not to be denied in bringing humanitarian aid to the children of Gaza. The silence of the world is deafening as the people of Gaza suffer, but the two hundred Americans and over one million dollars worth of aide that is going through confirms our commitment to a free Palestine. Long live the people of Palestine.

We will bring you more details as we get them. ==

The Viva Palestina humanitarian convoy enters the Gaza Strip, breaking the deadly Israeli blockade imposed on 1.5 million Palestinians for a second time.

The American aid convoy carrying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of supplies for the people of Gaza crossed the Rafah border on Wednesday upon receiving permission from Cairo after a 10-day delay.

The 200 activists are allowed to stay in the coastal territory only for 24 hours, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Viva Palestina activists, all Americans, including Charles Barron, a New York City Councilman, say that they have been stranded on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing for about 10 days despite earlier arrangements.

The humanitarian aid convoy consisting of 50 vehicles is the second organized by British Member of Parliament and Press TV presenter George Galloway.

Yemen has reportedly disbanded a 'terrorist cell' which was allegedly
operating under the supervision of Israeli intelligence services.

"A terrorist cell was arrested five days ago and will be referred
to the judicial authorities for its links with the Israeli intelligence services," Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh told Saba news agency on Monday.

The president did not give more details on the group's alleged
links to Israel's spy agencies. "Details of the trial will be announced later," he added.

In August 2008, Yemeni security forces arrested five suspected al-Qaeda militants in Hadramawt, days after the authorities revealed they had uncovered a new "terrorist" cell near the port city of al-Mukalla.

(9) Senate passes Hate bill; but Speech that falls short of incitement to violence will be protected

Senate passes Hate bill! Yet democrats compromise

By Rev. Ted Pike

http://www.prisonplanet.com/senate-passes-hate-bill-yet-democrats-compromise.html

Sen. Patrick Leahy's hate crimes bill, amending the National Defense Authorization Act, effectively passed the Senate tonight at about eleven o'clock p.m. EDT. A call for cloture, or termination of debate after thirty hours, was passed 63 to 28. Clearly, the Senate majority had spoken. Once cloture is invoked there is usually little more that can be done to resist.

There was no floor debate. A complete end run had been done around adequate Senate hearings, a Mark-up session and Rules Committee debate. Total Senate debate of the hate bill amounted to little more than a brief "kangaroo" hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee several weeks ago. Witnesses, which included Attorney General Eric Holder were stacked 4 to 2 against conservatives.

Passage occurred despite massive protest from the Christian/conservative right (even more than yesterday) with only the very smallest percentage of calls today in favor of the hate bill.

Yet Protest Made a Difference

Earlier Thursday evening the Senate finally assembled a quorum and voted down, 62 to 29, Sen. Hatch's amendment. It would require the federal government to conduct a study to determine if the states are not enforcing the law against violent hate crimes. Citing Attorney General Eric Holder's recent testimony in Judiciary, Hatch confirmed that states are already "doing a good job."

Then Senator Sam Brownback submitted an amendment which would include in the hate bill the most specific statement (part of the "Religious Freedom Act," passed in 1993 by Congress 97-3) that only speech that threatens imminent incitement of violence will be punishable under the hate bill. Speech that falls short of such actual incitement will be protected.

Sen. Leahy earlier said he had no problem with inclusion of Brownback's amendment. Although he voted against it, the amendment passed overwhelmingly 78-13. Approval of Brownback's amendment is a great victory, testimony to the pressure put on liberals even in the past two days. Most Senate Democrats were clearly eager to mollify, to some degree, the overwhelming anger at the hate bill from their constituents this week. Their House counterparts, under far less pressure eleven weeks ago, would never have made such a concession.

Inclusion of Brownback's amendment should help safeguard free speech from the pulpit or airwaves, except in the cases of the most blatant, immediate incitement to violence. It helps neutralize the extremely threatening language of the 1968 hate crimes law, Title 18, sec. 2A, which says if anyone "induces," through speech, commission of a violent hate crime the speaker will be tried "as a principal" alongside the active offender in federal court.

S. 909 remains a massive invasion of state's rights in law enforcement in violation of the 10th Amendment. It violates the 14th Amendment by exalting certain groups, including homosexual pedophiles, above the majority. But, thanks to massive pressure on liberal Senators, especially during the last two days, and the initiative of Sen. Brownback, at least the 1st Amendment may not be as imminently threatened as before. ==

Let the Anti-Defamation League teach you how they have saddled 45 states with hate laws capable of persecuting Christians, and spearhead attempts to pass the federal hate crimes bill: http://www.adl.org/99hatecrime/intro.asp.
