Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite. Iran's sex-change operations

When baby boys are born, the testes are still internal; they only descend into the scrotum later.

Hermaphrodites (intersex people & animals) have ambiguous genitalia. I used to keep goats, and one was a hermaphrodite. Nature sometimes makes a mistake, but hormonal medicines can be responsible too.

It's no reason to get replace two kinds of public toilets (Male & Female) with one kind (Unisex) or Six kinds (the Gay lobby says there are 5 or 6 "Genders").

Semenya has to race against men, not women.

Despite sex change operations, one's chromosomes record one's true sex. There are cases where the recipient of a sex-change later wants to convert back (it's only partly reversible). I came across one woman in Canberra who I'm sure had been a man, and remained in a  sorry sex-limbo. Which is preferable, homosexuality or sex-changes?

Semenya 'is a hermaphrodite'

VIDEO: Semenya 'is a hermaphrodite'Tests have revealed champion runner Caster Semenya has both male and female sexual organs. 9/09 Sky News

WORLD athletics is in crisis over the gender of Caster Semenya after tests revealed the South African world champion has no womb or ovaries.

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) is ready to disqualify Semenya from future events and advise her to have immediate surgery because her condition carries grave health risks. They have also not ruled out stripping Semenya of her 800m world championships gold medal.

Should Semenya be stripped of her gold medal? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this story.

Tests conducted during the world athletics championships in Berlin last month, where Semenya's gender became the subject of heated debate following her victory in the 800m, revealed evidence she is a hermaphrodite, someone with both male and female sexual characteristics.

Semenya, 18, has three times the amount of testosterone that a "normal" female would have. According to a source closely involved with the Semenya examinations IAAF testing, which included various scans, has revealed she has internal testes - the male sexual organs which produce testosterone.

Only the certainty of an even more savage backlash from South Africa has made the IAAF hesitant about slapping a ban on Semenya and revoking her gold medal.

South Africa embraced Semenya after the storm of controversy from Berlin, declaring her "our girl". From the day news broke on August 19 that the IAAF had initiated gender verification tests on Semenya, various factions within South African society and politics have attacked the Monte Carlo based IAAF.

The African National Congress MP and National Assembly sports committee chairman Butana Komphela has already lodged a complaint with the United Nations High Commission on Human Rights, accusing the IAAF of racism and sexism.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source familiar with the IAAF inquiry into the Semenya affair explained the political as well as personal sensitivities involved.

"There certainly is evidence Semenya is a hermaphrodite. But the trouble is the IAAF now have the whole ANC and the whole of South Africa on their backs. Everything is going to have to be done absolutely by the book, no question of a challenge to our findings," she told The Daily Telegraph.

"There's all sorts of scans you do. This is why it's complicated. In the past you used to do a gynaecological exam, blood test, chromosome test, whatever. That's why they (the findings) were challenged, because it's not quite so simple.

"So what they do now is they do everything, and then they can say look, not only has she got this, she's got that and the other. The problem for us is to avoid it being an issue now which is very personal: of the organs being a hermaphrodite, of not being a 'real' woman. It's very dramatic."

The IAAF expects to receive the full set of medical results this week.

When quizzed by South African magazine You on the gender issue, Semenya said: "I see it all as a joke, it doesn't upset me. God made me the way I am and I accept myself. I am who I am and I'm proud of myself. I don't want to talk about the tests - I'm not even thinking about them."

While the IAAF are treating the Semenya case as a health matter, with her eligibility to compete in women's athletics very much a secondary issue, the same South African politicians who denied AIDS was a problem in their country are now blindly standing behind their new queen of the track.

"Well of course Caster is a totally innocent victim in this whole affair," the source explained. "What could she do about it? And the IAAF accepted her entry. So the two parties at fault are the IAAF and especially Athletics SA. The South Africans have got a massive responsibility, but no one seems to be attacking them.

"Basically they (ASA) have known for months, for years, that she's not normal. They could have set in process these kind of tests if they had been more responsible."

(2) Caster Semenya in hiding after tests reveal she has 'internal testes'

WORLD athletics is in crisis with revelations that world champion South African Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite.

The International Association of Athletics Federations is poised to disqualify Semenya from future events after gender verification tests revealed evidence that she has no womb or ovaries and carries both male and female sexual organs, according to a report in Sydney's Daily Telegraph.

Sources involved in the IAAF testing, which involved various scans, said Semenya was found to have internal testes and three times the amount of testosterone that a “normal” female would have, the paper said.

The sport's governing body, which has not decided whether or not it will strip Semenya of her 800m world championships gold medal in Berlin, will also advise the runner to seek immediate surgery, believing her condition poses significant health risks.

Semenya, 18, was believed to have gone into hiding last night and it is understood she is unlikely to appear in her first race since winning the gold last month.

Her coach, Michael Seme, said he was now uncertain whether Semenya would compete at the 4000 metres women's event at the South African national cross-country championships in Pretoria tomorrow.

An IAAF spokesman said the international governing body has received the results of Semenya's gender tests, but he would not discuss the findings.

“I simply haven't seen the results,” the spokesman said.

“We have received the results from Germany, but they now need to be examined by a group of experts and we will not be in a position to speak to the athlete about them for at least a few weeks.

“After that, depending on the results, we will meet privately with the athlete to discuss further action.”

Semenya's gender came under question following her victory in the 800m at last month's world titles, causing outrage in South Africa. Indeed, the further deterioration of its relations with the country are believed to be all that is stopping the IAAF from stripping the runner of her medal.

The African National Congress MP and National Assembly sports committee chairman Butana Komphela has lodged a complaint with the United Nations High Commission on Human Rights accusing the IAAF of racism and sexism.

But some have claimed South Africa is turning a blind eye to what could be serious health concerns for the runner. The IAAF expects to receive a full set of medical results within days.

Leonard Chuene, the president of Athletics South Africa (ASA), which has been vocal in its criticism of the IAAF, said: “We cannot get involved in gossip of this sort. Our people will speak to Caster and ensure that she puts these rumours from her mind.”

The situation is extremely delicate because of a lack of precedents and Semenya's profile in South Africa.

The IAAF's policy document on gender verification states that if there is any suspicion, an athlete can be asked to go before a panel including a gynaecologist, psychologist and an expert on transgender issues.

In 2006 an Indian 800 metres runner, Santhi Soundarajan, was stripped of her silver medal at the Asian Games after failing a sex test. She was later found to have AIS and was reported to have made a suicide attempt.

Semenya's mother Dorcus Semenya said last night: “Why must jealousy drive people to say such bad things? They are crazy. It must be jealousy that makes them say she is a man.”

(3) Iranian court permits transsexual marriage

Date: September 14 2009

http://www.smh.com.au/world/iranian-court-permits-transsexual-marriage-20090913-fm8m.html

IRAN is set to allow what is believed to be its first transsexual marriage after the would-be bride asked a court to override her father's opposition.

The woman, named only as Shaghayegh, told Tehran's family court she wanted to marry a school friend who had recently had a sex-change operation to become a man, but was unable to obtain her father's blessing, as legally required. Her father was summoned to court and agreed to the union on condition that the male partner, Ardashir, who was previously a woman called Negar, underwent a medical examination to prove it would be a proper male-female relationship.

Homosexuality is illegal under Iran's theocratic code. Gay rights groups have accused the authorities of executing homosexual people.

The father told the judge he had been driven by "fear of humiliation". "Ardashir came to our house many times and all the neighbours and relatives know him as a girl," he said. "Now she has changed gender and turned into a man, I can't sit and watch my daughter's friend turning into my son-in-law." But he relented in the face of his daughter's insistence.

"Ardashir and I have been together since adolescence and know each other very well," she told the court.

The newspaper Etemaad reported that the friends had met at school and studied at the same university, where their close relationship had been well known. After graduating, Negar changed sex under Iran's Islamic laws, which deem transsexuals religiously permissible.

Only Thailand carries out more sex-change operations than Iran. Critics suggest some changing sex are gay men or lesbians under social pressure.

(4) Ahmadinejad "a Jew and a Freemason" - just Disinformation

From: Saleh Elkmeshi <saleh@pclibya.com> To: 'Shahriar Mazandi' <s@mazandi.com> Date: 10.09.2009 08:51 PM

Dear Shahriar,

You got me wrong.

I mean, and according to my view; Ahmadinejad is the most legitimate of all Muslem leaders, after Muhather in Malyzia.

HE is sure a much much better Muslim than most of the crytpo-muslem leaders in all Arab world. He is an honest ,maybe, little naïve, but he is not what you claim he is. So I despise and totally disagree with all what you say here bellow.

And look , I see you as a disinformation and as an agent working for his masters. You can't fool every one.

(5) Cloud Computing "threatens" Microsoft's monopoly

> Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, Math, and Writer provide the equivalent of
> Word, PowerPoint, Excell, Access and others.
>
> I find them at least the equal of the expensive Microsoft alternatives.

I agree totally.

I am writing this using the Opera e-mail/web browser client running on Ubuntu Linux 9.04 and for work (I'm a writer), I use Open Office 3 which I configured to by default, to save my work in Microsoft Word format and e-mail them to my colleagues, all of whom us Windows PC and there is no problem at all with compatibility.

I successfully migrated my work PC to Ubunty Linux 9.04 about a monthy ago, compete with ability to print on my Brother HL-2040 printer (Linux does not have as many peripheral device drivers as Windows, which is one reason for its slow adoption but that is gradually changing) and I did the same for my 77 year old aunt's PC and her Brother HL-2140 printer.

So why on earth would I want to use cloud computing and entrust my documents to a third party, and a not too reliable Internet connection.

Try running Buzzword on www.acrobat.com and see how it feels to write a Microsoft Word document and see how much "fun" it is. I've done, it works but I wouldn't like to do that again.

"Cloud computing" is the latest industry buzzword for what has hitherto been called Software oriented Architecture (SoA),the application service provider (ASP) model, Software as a Services (SaaS) andnow Cloud Computing). It's been around for over 10 years.

Check this video out - Larry Ellison - What the Hellis Cloud Computing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FacYAI6DY0

Larry Ellison is the founder and CEO of Oracle Corporation, a leading database software company which itself is into "cloud computing" and whilst Ellison does not oppose cloud computing as such, he rubbishes the repackaging of "old win in new bottles" as well as the hype and claims of detreminstic predictions, such as "client/server computing will bury mainframe computers," "online shopping will kill the local grocery store." "video killed the radio star" and so on.

BTW -- that song, Video killed the radio Star is over 20 years old but as I'm sure we can all see, radio is still very alive and kicking today.

However, the only difference today -- as was told me by a NetApps executive yesterday as he touted cloud computing -- is that "THANKS TO THE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN" -- companies are looking for ways to cut costs, hence are turning tocloud computing out of neccessity. However, this applies more at the large corporate or small-to-medium business level, rather than at personal users like us.

So perhaps, there could be some truth in the above cliam, though Microsoft is gearing up for cloud computing itself.

However, we have choice anyway, in OpenOffice and other proprietary branded office applications so why do we gravitate to Microsoft?

One answer is compatibility of document format, like you send me a Word or Adobe PDF document and I must be able to open with whatever software I use.

Now what if I sent you a WordPerfect or Lotus WordPro document, can you easily open it or open it at all? Most probaly not and in a the interconnected world of today, we gravitate to a common file format as a de-facto standard, irrespective of whether it's in an open or a proprietary file format and as a result, most have gravitated to the Microsoft format.

So I forsee similar problems with multiple providers of cloud computing services, assuming it takes off. I forsee a dominance of one file format and the one which has that format will become the dominant player, otherwsie, we'll end up with the problem of me sending you a file in WordPro, WordStar or WordPerfect format.

Check these out http://www.surf.com.my/v2/the-rest/80-will-qualcomms-kayak-pc-alternative-fly.html

http://www.commtechasia.net/comm-mainmenu-28/commentary-mainmenu-40/581-telecom-regulation-swings-back-to-the-future.html

Also, dominant players eventually do emerge, even on the Internet, just as Google has become the most dominant search engine and web-mail player, whilst there still are Yahoo!, Alta Vista, Lycos and so on. So I don't buy this hype about "the Internet levelling the playing field." It will in the beginning but eventually a dominant player will emerge as FREE MARKET TENDS TOWARDS MONOPOLY.

If you want to maintain a free market, you'll need strong regulation - NOT DEREGULATION - to prevent the above process from operating.

(6) Mother of 9y.o. boy tortured by two brothers aged 10 & 11 to sue Social Services

Victim's mum: I'll sue Social Services over little savages

By Nick Owens; Ross Slater 6/09/2009

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/09/06/victim-s-mum-i-ll-sue-social-services-over-little-savages-115875-21650988/

The mother of a nine-year-old boy tortured by two brothers aged 10 and 11 plans to sue Social Services over the attack.

She is furious authorities failed to monitor the "little savages" who subjected her son and his 11-year-old uncle to a horrific ordeal - and wants to work with James Bulger's mum for tougher laws on child yobs.

The brothers had more than 40 convictions and were on the child protection register before carrying out their horrific assault.

Last night the nine-year-old's mum said: "We are seeing a solicitor with a view to suing Social Services. They knew how dangerous these boys were yet put them in a village where they could terrorise kids."

The attack on the boys in Edlington, Doncaster, shocked the nation. Over a two-hour period, the brothers attacked the boys with bricks, made them perform sex acts and eat glass. One had a noose tied round his neck, while the other was burned with a cigarette on his eyelids and ears before both were left for dead.

Yesterday the father of the 11-year-old victim revealed that both boys are still having intensive counselling, but added: "Fortunately, they seem to both be the same lovely lads they always were."

The pair are due to be sentenced in November. But yesterday it emerged both are likely to be free by the age of 18.

Then they will be granted freedom from identification, like Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were after killing James Bulger in 1993.

Last night James's mum Denise Fergus said: "My heart goes out to the parents of the victims in this terrible case.

"The full force of the law should be used to deal with serious criminals no matter what age they are."

(7) What to do about Violent Children?

Another horrific attack – so just how do we deal with damaged children?

Social workers are being blamed again – but helping them to deal with unreachable families is now more important than ever

Tracy McVeigh, chief reporter

The Observer, Sunday 6 September 2009

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2009/sep/06/edlington-attack-children-social-workers

Children of a drug-addicted mother, beaten by an alcoholic father, excluded from school, running wild and forced to forage in bins for food. Two young brothers from Doncaster last week pleaded guilty to a vicious attack on two other children, but it soon became clear that the boys, aged 11 and 10 at the time, were both the victims and the perpetrators of horrific child abuse.

The case has seen social workers under attack again for failing to intervene in the boys' dysfunctional family in time. The brothers had been raised in appalling circumstances of violence, drugs and neglect, and had been known to the police and to child protection services for some years. The 10-year-old was on police bail and the 11-year-old had been in court four times previously for "acts of violence". The pair were infamous for antisocial behaviour in their community.

They had only been taken into care in March this year, three weeks before they attacked, tortured and sexually abused an 11-year-old boy and his nine-year-old nephew.

The boys are what some are beginning to believe is an "unreachable" underclass. Despite the Labour government's decade-long concentration on the issue in the UK, where 16% of children grow up in poverty, pockets of deprivation have stubbornly refused to be fixed. The chief executive of Barnardo's, Martin Narey, told the Observer that some broken families simply can't be fixed and we should be taking children from those parents at birth. But as Doncaster's social services department opens a serious case review to look at what went wrong – the eighth such inquiry the local authority has been forced to hold since 2004 – the case has ignited a deeper debate: is foster care the right place for Britain's most damaged youngsters?

It was known that Doncaster children's services was in trouble. Seven children on the at-risk register have died over the past five years; and in March, the same month the boys were placed with a foster family in the town of Edlington where the assaults took place, a major overhaul was ordered by the government after inspectors identified "serious weaknesses" in performance.

A new management team was sent in after reports that social workers were being overwhelmed by their case loads, exacerbated by staff shortages on child protection teams of almost 20%. One worker said that details of vulnerable children were "buried in a pile of other referrals".

Last week, Tim Loughton, the Tory shadow minister for children, said the decision to send the boys to a foster home where they were free to roam reflected the "chaotic state" of social services in Doncaster. "Clearly there is a case for asking why they were not put in some sort of secure accommodation," he said.

More than three-quarters of all children taken into care in England and Wales go into foster families; the current thinking, said Andrea Warman, of the British Association for Adoption and Fostering, is that a stable family environment is best for children. "People who grew up in care homes of the past have made it very clear that the family unit was very much something they missed," she said. "We do need to respect and support foster carers more, but a lot of the research shows that, without family attachments and experiences, young people do very badly.

"How would we expect them to go on to make relationships themselves if they had never experienced one?"

But Martin Narey makes the point that the shortage of foster carers and the problems within many children's services departments mean that hundreds of children in care find themselves moved around almost constantly. He talks of one 15-year-old girl he met recently who had had 46 foster family placements. "That is not unusual," he said. "My view is that we should be taking far more children into care and take children away as babies and put them into permanent adoptive placements – that is where the success is. It's all very well to talk of foster families, but it is normal to find children whose foster placements number in the double figures.

"Just a week ago, I spent an evening talking with some young people and a girl was talking to me about how it felt to be taken to a strange town, into a strange house and left with people she had never set eyes on before, often in the middle of the night, and be forced to constantly change school."

Narey believes residential care and early adoption are both under-used options for children. "In one of my small homes I know a 12 year-old boy. He's a very nice boy but he is autistic, and with a dedicated team of shift workers he can get good stable care, but he would overwhelm foster carers."

Deprivation in some of Britain's cities is so deeply embedded that families are on the third or fourth generation of unemployment and poverty. Three years ago a National Audit Office report on antisocial behaviour in such areas found that the minority of hardcore offenders were impervious to efforts to stop them. "One thing I would point to, however, is that in the mid-1990s there were 100 children under 14 a year being convicted of the gravest crimes – grievous bodily harm, rape – but for the past few years it has dropped right down to 60. So there is proof that many more children are being reached, many of them by the government's Sure Start programme."

Children remain far more likely to be the victims of crime than its perpetrators. They are responsible for just 12% of crime, and youth crime has been falling since 1992. Yet we lock up more children than almost any other European country – four times as many as France – and our age of criminal responsibility is one of the lowest, at 10 years, with campaigners, including James Bulger's mother, Denise, calling for it to be lowered.

In the view of some experts, the two boys in the Edlington case were already "neurally wired" to behave in a violent manner by the age they reached their foster parents, a couple in their 60s living in Edlington, some 15 miles from the boys' home. But Philippa Stroud of the think-tank the Centre for Social Justice refuses to accept that there is an "unreachable" underclass in society. ...

Robert Tapsfield, chief executive of the Fostering Network, said a shift in how foster carers were regarded was needed. "Foster carers are entrusted with these vulnerable children, but too often they are not consulted by the case workers or given the information they need to really care for these children," he said ...  "It is absolutely critical foster carers have all the information. But sometimes the social workers are so short-staffed that they don't have the information or there is an issue with a young graduate social worker simply not respecting the life experiences of an older, but perhaps not university-educated, foster parent."

Although the Centre for Social Justice and other organisations talk of the end of the family, a rise in single mothers and a decline in social values, these two boys had two parents. The case was not about housing estates that have descended wholesale into hotbeds of crime, leaving residents to mourn the halcyon days when people kept their front doorsteps scrubbed and door knobs polished. It was about one family that no one tried to reach until it was too late.

The boys who were attacked were raised in the same place. The father of the eldest victim told reporters at court: "My kid plays with Lego. They play with knives. That's the difference."

(8) Radio presenter sacked for anti-migrant "F--- Off, We're Full" line

Multicultural radio presenter linked to anti-immigration Facebook groups

http://www.smh.com.au/technology/technology-news/multicultural-radio-presenter-linked-to-antiimmigration-facebook-groups-20090702-d61l.html

A presenter for a NSW community radio station that specialises in multicultural programming has been reprimanded after she was revealed to be an administrator of several racist, anti-immigration groups on Facebook.

Terrie-Anne Verney, a presenter and sales representative for Griffith FM radio station 2MIA, was the administrator of the group "F--- Off, We're Full" and had also joined several Facebook groups including "Stop the Islamisation of Australia while we still can", "Australian Conservative United Party", the "Australian Protectionist Party" and "Australians against Multiculturalism".

In posts on the site she ridiculed foreigners who did not have a good grasp of English, claimed the Islamic faith was destroying the Australian way of life and said that attacked Indian students should go back home to study.

She also wrote that groups of immigrants tended to develop a "mob mentality", claimed KKK members she knew were "intelligent" and that she did not want immigrants who did not speak English or assimilate into "the Australian life" to be allowed into the country.

"If we allow the Islamic faith to continue to grow, sooner or later the Australian way of life will be destroyed," Ms Verney wrote in one post.

"I can't even imagine where we start to fix the problems caused by the introduction of this *cough cough* religion and its invasion of our society, but something needs to be done. Before its (sic) too late."

Of bashed Indian students, she said they were "playing the victim card" and "the shit around their head must do something to their brain".

"Maybe a gun to their head might help them get the hint that they are not wanted here!!," she wrote.

Edna Wakley, president of the Griffith Community FM Association and station manager at 2MIA, said in a statement that she was "horrified" by Ms Verney's affiliations, and that she was unaware of until yesterday.

She said the station did "not condone in any way sites such as these" and would "take appropriate disciplinary action where necessary".

2MIA prides itself on "multicultural programming" and has several presenters from diverse backgrounds. Ms Verney works there as a sales representative and also presents a music show on Saturday afternoons.

"It is disappointing that this staff member's actions could place a cloud over the integrity of this Association and all that it has achieved in Ethnic Broadcasting, multiculturalism and the community at large," the statement said.

When Ms Verney was approached for comment over her Facebook posts, she said it was "unfortunate" patriotism was now regarded as racism.

"As a proud Aussie, I welcome new Australians in the hope and belief that they too, become proud Aussies," she said.

"This country is beautiful the way it is, and like most average citizens, [I] do not want our society to change to suit others' needs." ...

(9) Fight Dem Back forces 2MIA radio to sack political dissident

People’s Socialist News Service, 5 July 2009

http://suprat.wordpress.com/2009/07/05/fight-dem-back-forces-2mia-radio-to-sack-political-dissident/

The anarchist Jewish led terrorist organisation known as “Fight Dem Back” has finally forced 2MIA radio to sack Ms Terrie-Ann Verney. Ms Terrie-Ann[e] Verney is a political dissident and is opposed to the policies of the capitalist-intelligentsia regime. Ms Verney was sacked as a community staffer at 2MIA radio after a campaign was launched against her by multiculturalists and multiracialists led by the anarchist terrorist group Fight Dem Back. The Fight Dem Back group called Ms Verney’s employers and black mailed them into sacking the young woman. The young nice woman is not the first victim of the thuggish terrorist group.

Many nationalists have lost their jobs and families because of actions committed by the anarchist Fight Dem Back. FDB does not care about other people and constantly seeks to destroy it’s enemies by any means possible even if it destroys other people’s lives. Clearly, Fight Dem Back, which is a front of the Australian Security and Intelligence Organisation (ASIO), has destroyed the life of this young nice and attractive young [sic] woman. Every one should feel sorry for Ms Terrie-Ann[e] Verney because she is a victim of evil anarchist terrorism which has destroyed her young life. The Stalinist League General Secretary, Mr Peter Watson, called on the Australian Federal Police to arrest the members of Fight Dem Back and charge them with terrorism and criminal defamation. “[Mathew] Henderson[-Hau] and his mob of criminals must pay for their criminal actions,” Mr Watson told the People’s Socialist News Service. “Fight Dem Back are scum who love to destroy the lives of young attractive women” the General Secretary added.

The criminal Fight Dem Back mob posted an article on their sick web site that criminally attacked Ms Verney. In the article posted on the 5th of June [sic] this year, the terrorist organisation made slanderous and defaming comments about Ms Verney. FDB claimed that Terrie-Ann[e] Verney was a “bigot”, “racist” and that she was “dumb”.

Fight Dem Back went on to claim that her beliefs were “unacceptable” and that her behaviour was “unacceptable civil conduct under any circumstances”. After nearly a week of being black mailed and bullied, the 2MIA management released a statement saying that they were sacking Ms Verney.

The actions of Asher Moses and [Mathew] Henderson[-Hau], both members of Fight Dem Back, were an attack on Ms Verney’s democratic rights as a citizen of Australia. ...
